Firstly, thank you Laura. I am grateful to you for having made this course available and thankful to The Lord for His provision to take part.
The course progresses well and the ideas behind the changes you encourage us to make are sensible and beneficial. The course is very well researched and presented with a wealth of information. The couple of 'catch up' weeks were welcome.
The visual presentations were good and I liked the way you led into most of them gently with some soft music and views of your garden... with sweet roosters and other furry friends! You have also awakened a desire to get to know some of the classical composers, who have a Christian influence in their music. Thank you! Your approach in the videos is relaxed and engaging and you managed to combine a light-heartedness in balance with presenting the health benefits in a more serious tone. The Zoom calls are useful and I appreciate your open and inclusive style. The HfL membership site is user-friendly and very easy to navigate. The demo videos were also very helpful (I am a visual learner). I have enjoyed losing a few pounds and I have used the Signature Meal recipe and green smoothie; yumm. The menus are well presented and I am sure they will be very tasty and enjoyable and easy to make.
I do feel generally healthier and a I have better energy and quality of sleep. I am more relaxed in a 'deep inner' way. My nervous system feels more balanced. It is probably due to the gut-brain connection benefits you have introduced.
I have a desire to get out the water colours I bought a while back and start experimenting with a new skill, yey!!
I make the sour dough bread which I love. I use spelt or wholemeal flour recipes and only had one disaster; when I tried using white spelt instead of wholegrain spelt! I also enjoy making/eating Kimchi, which I am sure is helping to restore my gut health; and knock on benefits. I had already made some good changes, but hadn't realised how many toxic substances I still used until you highlighted them, thank you!! Going forward, I will review the course from the beginning and work through it again and then come back to it when I need a refresh and to grow in understanding of how to improve our health. As you say, our health is a journey; it is certainly an exciting and rewarding one.
Thank you for your commitment, encouragement and wealth of knowledge that you have so generously shared with the group. I have been kept very motivated and have looked forward each week to building on what you taught in each previous module. Lastly, I would like to say thank you for your bold Christian witness throughout the course, which, as a fellow believer, made the experience extra special.
May The Lord continue to grow your ministry through the giftings He has given you and bless you as you in turn bless others in a generous and wholesome way.
